Dehradun: Former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat's protest continues in Haridwar Bahadrabad police station premises. He got up this morning and started yoga in front of the police station. When Harish Rawat started yoga with bhajans, everyone's attention went towards him. His photos are becoming fiercely viral on social media.  

The sit-in by Congressmen at Bahadrabad police station demanding the cancellation of cases against Congress workers due to panchayat elections continued for the second day. In a protest led by Haridwar Rural MLA Anupama Rawat, Congressmen tied animals outside the police station on Friday. Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat and Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya also reached the protest site. On Thursday, Haridwar Rural MLA Anupama Rawat, Jwalapur MLA Ravi Bahadur and Bhagwanpur MLA Mamta Rakesh along with Congress workers started a protest outside Bahadrabad police station. The MLAs have alleged that Congress workers are being harassed by filing fake cases during the counting of the panchayat. They have demanded to quash the cases against them. Haridwar Rural MLA Anupama Rawat stood with the workers during a protest in the police station throughout the night.  

On the second day on Friday, the activists reached the police station premises with buffalo carts and bullocks. They were tied outside the police station throughout the day and taken back in the evening. The police station premises remained crowded throughout the day. Kaliyar MLA Furqan Ahmed said that he will continue the war for the honour of the workers as long as it goes. Workers will not be allowed to be harassed. Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that now either his body will go from Haridwar or the cases registered against the workers will be cancelled. If needed, I will also give my life by lying in front of Harki Paidi for the respect of the workers. He said "The BJP government is deliberately harassing Congress workers.''
