Harley-Davidson has officially announced the recall of the new Pan America 1250 Adventure Motorcycle. Manufacturing of affected bikes has been carried out between March 8 and October 13, 2021. Affected bikes have a problem of seat base failure. The latest recall has affected a total of 2,689 units and models imported into India are also affected by the recall. The issue around ADV has been linked to the base of the back seat, which is said to be not fit properly, resulting in a base fracture/loss in ilmal for a long time.

The new seat base in the recalled Motorcycle is going to be installed for free. Harley-Davidson dealers can soon contact Bike owners and book appointments for repair/replacement of defective parts.  The new Pan America 1250ADV has been launched in the Indian market earlier this year. It challenges some full-sized ADV competitors like Ducati Multistrada V4, BMW R1250GS, Triumph Tiger 1200, etc.

The bike center also has a Revolution Max - 1,252 CC Liquid-cooled V-Twin engine that generates 150 BHP of power at 9,000 RPM and a 127NM torque at 6,750RPM. Harley claims the engine is getting on with counter-balancing variable valve timing for powerband and effective low-end torque. As far as the price is concerned, bikes are sold in India for Rs 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while pan America 1250 specials have been priced at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, Harley-Davidson India has also recently launched Sportsor S in the country.
