New Delhi: An auto driver kidnapped and raped a girl in Delhi's Sarita Vihar area. The girl protested and the criminal assaulted the girl. In another incident, the auto driver raped the teenager in Govindpuri area. It has been learnt that the police have registered a case in both the incidents and are in action. However, the accused in both the incidents have not been taken into custody till Friday evening. It may be recalled that 13 rape cases have been reported in 45 days in south and south-east districts.
According to the South-East district police officials, the incident took place on the night of 23 November with the girl in Sarita area. A 22-year-old girl hired an auto near Shaheenbagh metro station to go to her home. The auto driver took the girl to a secluded place and raped her there in the auto itself. When the girl objected to this, the accused thrashed her fiercely. After the rape, the accused fled by throwing the woman at a secluded place.
Where it is learnt that the passerby informed the police about it. The woman has been admitted to the hospital by The Sarita Vihar police. The woman is being treated at the hospital. Sarita Vihar police have registered a case and based on CCTV footage, the search for the culprit auto driver has been intensified. According to information received so far, the rape case of the teenager is said to be from Govindpuri police station area. The victim was returning from her friend's house. The auto driver dragged the teenager into the auto and forced her to sit down. He took the teenager to a deserted place and carried out the rape with the teenager. Govindpuri police have registered a case and intensified the search for the accused auto driver.
