Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the 77-year-old artist said, "We are facing some very deep issues in America and we are making every effort to resolve them. We need to invite people to our country, not to drive them out. Taking a dig at the Trump-led government, Ford said, 'First of all, our position in the world is weak due to lack of moral leadership. We have lost some credibility in the world and we look forward to regaining it." On the issue of climate change, he said, "Science is being ridiculed by people from an ideological point of view. Giving importance to the political outlook, they are denying the knowledge of science and its discipline and this needs to be stopped.
