Chandigarh: Before the commencement of Monsoon session in Haryana, the Corona report of Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gyanchand Gupta has turned positive. With this news, corona tests of 330 others have been done in the Haryana Assembly. Monsoon session of Haryana Legislative Assembly was going to start on August 26.

Dr. Jasjit Kaur, Civil Surgeon of Panchkula, confirmed that the Haryana speaker was found corona infected and said that he is in isolation at his residence and his condition is stable. However, earlier on Sunday, six Assembly members were found infected. This includes nephew and private assistant of speaker Gyan Chand Gupta. MLA, officers and employees are being subjected to corona tests in view of the session of Haryana Legislative Assembly starting on August 26.

In view of Corona infection, the rules have been made strict for entry into the assembly premises. All employees including MLA will be allowed to visit the premises only when they have a corona negative report. This report should not be more than three days old. In the last 24 hours, the number of infected with 1096 new cases has reached 54,386 in the last 24 hours. 809 patients have returned home after recovering from coronavirus. Six patients died of corona while the condition of 232 patients is said to be critical.
