Chandigarh: In the Haryana Assembly elections 2019, no ticket will be given to any of the family of current MPs of BJP. Sources have been quoted saying that the party high command has asked the state BJP not to forward the name of any MP's family member. Being the current MLA, only Hisar MP Bijender Singh's mother, Premlata Singh's name has been sent to the list.

Premlata Singh is the current MLA from the elevated Kalan assembly seat in Hisar, in the year 2014 she defeated former CM Om Prakash Chautala. It has also been reported from quoting party sources that the BJP is thinking of giving 2 seats to its ally Punjab Shiromani of Akali Dal in Haryana assembly elections, BJP will bring forward its candidates for the remaining 88 seats. It is worth mentioning that in the absence of assembly seats, the Akali Dal had said to field candidates for all 90 seats in the state.

It is also reported that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of the state will finalize the tickets for the candidates in the next 2-3 days for the Haryana Assembly elections. According to Haryana BJP unit president Subhash Barala, the party continues to have frequent discussions about ticket distribution, till late night there was a churn. In Navratri, the party can announce the names for the ticket.
