Amidst the corona transition and lockdown, Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the Union Home Ministry has extended the lockdown period in the Containment Zone till June 30 and decided to open some activities outside the Containment Zone in a phased manner.

The Chief Minister gave instructions that general public health measures, social distancing (2 yards), face cover or face mask by all (workers and visitors) at shopping malls and religious places from June 8 onwards. Common preventive measures including wearing mask should be adopted. No aarti, congregation or mass gathering and prayer will be allowed. Only personal prayer will be allowed. No physical offerings such as offerings or distribution or sprinkling of holy water will be allowed inside the religious place.

In this case, it has been decided that the norms of physical distance should be followed while preparing and distributing food in community kitchens, langar, annadan etc. at religious places. While opening hotels and restaurants in the state, common preventive measures including social distancing (2 yards), face cover or face mask will be adopted by all (workers and visitors) at these places at all times. A banquet hall of about 2000 square feet in size will be allowed to operate with a maximum of 50 guests at a time following social distancing.
