Police in the Indian state of Haryana late night arrested the former MLA from the MLA Hostel in Chandigarh. He was brought to Haryana at night. Satvinder Singh contested the last assembly election from Kalayat on a JJP ticket. Prior to this, he has been an MLA twice from Rajaund. Rajound was earlier in Jind and is now in Kaithal.

Satvinder Rana is registered as a voter from Kalka, Haryana. He has also contested from Kalka on the Congress ticket. Its profession is agriculture and business. A cash of Rs 97 lakh was recovered from his whereabouts.
