Hathras: The administration finally transferred the District Magistrate Praveen Kumar on charges of the forcible funeral of the dead body of the gang-rape victim of Hathras. The High Court also expressed displeasure over the non-action against the District Magistrate. DM Pravin Kumar has been appointed by the government to the post of DM in Mirzapur. DM was posted in this district for about 22 months. He has been transferred on the last day of the year.
It is worth mentioning that during the Lok Sabha elections, the administration of District Collector Pravin Kumar was posted in the district last year on the instructions of the Election Commission. The Commission then removed the then-District Magistrate, Dr. Ramashankar Maurya, from here. On March 2, 2019, he was posted as DM. Earlier, he was posted as Special Secretary of the Panchayat Raj Department. During his tenure, the DM conducted the Lok Sabha elections peacefully. After that, the uproar over the post of District Panchayat President also happened during these posting.
When the video of District Collector Praveen Kumar about giving 20 tola gold, Krista Innova and FD went viral, DM himself went to the bottom of it and filed a case in this matter himself. VHP district president was also involved in this.
