Patna: BJP MP from Sheohar in Bihar Rama Devi has given a controversial statement. She has termed Motihari's Dhaka Assembly as Pakistan due to discussions with the people. In the Kudhani assembly constituency, MP Rama Devi pointed to Dhaka MLA Pawan Jaiswal. She said, "We have won Pakistan and Dhaka is also a Pakistan.'' The MP further said that Pawan Jaiswal has become an MLA by winning from there.
Let us tell you that Dhaka Assembly is a Muslim-dominated area. This statement of Rama Devi has been criticized by the Jan Adhikar Party. Jan Adhikari Party has said that it is very shameful to call Dhaka a Pakistani and Pawan Jaiswal a Legislator of Pakistan. In fact, during the election campaign in Kudhani Assembly, Rama Devi said these things to introduce the leaders present there to the media. The MP had described herself as a Dhaka MLA and a leader who won Pakistan. She further said "We have won Pakistan and Pawan is an MLA from there.'' Although she said these things jokingly and informally, now the matter has started taking a political shade.
Jan Adhikar Party spokesperson and state general secretary Abhijit Singh has asked BJP leaders, including Rama Devi, to tender a public apology. He said that if MPs Rama Devi and Pawan Jaiswal do not apologize to the people of Dhaka, then there will be a cross-border fight over it. A Jan Adhikar Party spokesperson said Rama Devi and Pawan Singh had insulted the people of Dhaka. Due to the votes of the people, they are now MPs and MLAs, they are calling Dhaka As Pakistan. It is shameful. He said "Has Rama Devi forgotten that more than 3 lakh voters in Dhaka have made her an MP several times, are they Pakistanis? Are all Hindus and Muslims in Dhaka citizens of Pakistan?'' He said these leaders have questioned the existence of Dhaka. This is an insult to the entire Assembly.
