Health workers at a hospital in Ganjam district of Odisha went beyond their duty and shaved the hair and beards of corona virus patients. Apart from nursing duty, health workers at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Brahmapur, Ganjam are taking care of corona virus patients. 

But a video of the unique initiative of health workers in medical colleges and hospitals has gone viral on social media. In the video, one health worker is seen combing the hair of the woman patient, while the other health worker is seen shaving the elderly patient in the hospital. On the other hand, the video is being loved by the public and the health worker's move has been appreciated.

Other hospitals also advised to launch the initiative: Talking about the viral video, Ganjam Deputy Collector, V Kirti Vasan said, "Health workers have taken a major initiative in MKCG Medical College and Hospital. He shaved the patient's growing beard and also cut the hair of covid patients. He said the initiative of health workers was also appreciated from all sides". The Chief Secretary of the State also praised the personnel for selfless service. He said health workers are an inspiration for all in the midst of this epidemic. We advise other hospitals to launch this initiative.
