Surat: After a heart-wrenching video of Delhi's Shahbad dairy massacre went viral, a video from Gujarat's Surat is now going viral, in which a man is seen killing his 19-year-old daughter. According to a report, the Surat incident allegedly took place on May 18, in which the man was arrested for stabbing his daughter to death at least 25 times with a knife. The man's wife was also injured in the incident that took place after a domestic dispute.

The culprit, identified as Ramanuj Sahu, lived with his family in a rented accommodation in Satya Nagar Society in Surat. According to the report, Ramanuj and his wife Rekha had a dispute over their daughter sleeping on the terrace at night. A disturbing CCTV footage of the incident in Surat's Kadodara area is going viral on social media. In the CCTV video of around 11:20 pm, a man can be seen first attacking his wife with a knife in front of his children.

The woman was injured, her children tried to intervene to save their mother. In the commotion, the man grabbed his daughter and started stabbing her mercilessly. Due to this, the girl ran to save herself and tried to enter another room. But his father caught him and continued to attack him with a knife. Ramanuja did not stop after the brutal attack on his daughter. A report in TOI said that he went upstairs and attacked his wife, stabbed her 10 times and chopped off two of her fingers. Police arrested Sahu, a textile mill worker, from near his house in Kadodara. "The mother was stabbed at least 10 times. Two of his fingers were amputated. She has undergone an operation to rejoin her fingers and is still admitted in the hospital."
