Lucknow: The monsoon has softened in Uttar Pradesh. Amid the movement of clouds, the scorching sun has added to the humid heat in the state. The Met Department has forecast a non-existent rainfall in the coming 24 hours. Lucknow, the capital city of the state, recorded a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

According to the Meteorological Department, the humidity in the air is high and the heat is likely to increase further. The possibility of Wednesday's rain is not visible far and wide. Weather officials have said that cloudy skies will continue in the coming few days, which will increase the humid heat. The Met Department has predicted flash floods in some parts of eastern and western UP.

The minimum temperature in Agra was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, while Kanpur recorded a temperature of 27 degrees, Gorakhpur 26 degrees, Meerut also recorded 26 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, the capital Lucknow recorded a minimum temperature of 27.3 degrees, 1 degree above normal while the maximum temperature was 33.2 degrees Celsius.
