INDORE: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that a helicopter service will soon start connecting Indore, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar. The service could begin within the next 10 to 15 days.
Speaking at the 'Indore Dialogue' event at the Brilliant Convention Centre, CM Yadav shared details about the state’s new civil aviation policy. Under this policy, a proper helipad will be built every 45 kilometer, and an airport will be developed every 150 kilometer across Madhya Pradesh.
To encourage better air connectivity, the state government will give financial support to airlines. Airlines launching new domestic flights to Madhya Pradesh will receive Rs.7.5 lakh per flight, while new international routes will get Rs.10 lakh.
Support for Small Businesses and Industrial Growth -Â The state cabinet has also approved a new policy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. CM Yadav said that businesses investing over Rs.2.5 crore in small industries will receive government support.
Private industrial parks developed by business owners will now enjoy the same benefits as those set up by the government. Encouraging more industrial parks, Yadav stated that the government is ready to make further changes to the MSME policy if needed.
The Chief Minister also announced plans for a new metropolitan region covering 10,000 square kilometers. This region will include industrial zones in Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Dhar, and Shajapur districts. Key industrial areas like Pithampur, Maxi, and Nagda will also be part of this expansion, promoting economic growth in western Madhya Pradesh.
Looking ahead to the Simhastha fair in Ujjain in 2028, the government has allocated 2,300 hectares for the construction of permanent accommodations. Different communities will be allowed to build dharamshalas, ashrams, and dining halls, ensuring better facilities for devotees.
Several ministers and officials, including Kailash Vijayvargiya, Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shankar Lalwani, and MLA Kavita Patidar, were present at the event.
