Dehradun: In Uttarakhand, the doors of Hemkund Sahib will be opened for devotees on September 4 at 10 am. The District Administration and Gurdwara Management Committee have made all arrangements for the journey. The doors of Hemkund Sahib, the Tapasthali of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru, were opened every year during the month of May, but this time due to the COVID-19 epidemic, it has been decided to open the doors of Hemkund Sahib on 4 September.

The collector Swati S Bhadoria told that after discussing with Hemkund Sahib Gurdwara Management Committee, it has been decided to start Hemkund's journey from September 4. It will be mandatory for all the devotees coming from outside Uttarakhand to have a PCR test of the corona 72 hours before the trip to Hemkund Sahib. All the rules will be followed keeping the corona in mind.

On the other hand, due to the rise in corona patients in the state, the figure can reach 25 thousand by the end of September. On an average 350 infected patients are being found every day for the last 15 days. The number of active patients has exceeded four thousand due to more infected cases being recovered from cured patients. In comparison to the last 10 days in the state, most corona infected have been found on Tuesday. On August 8, 501 infected cases were reported in one day. 497 infected patients have been found on Tuesday.
