Yasin Malik gets life imprisonment, Kashmir on high alert

New Delhi: Terrorist Yasin Malik has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a special NIA court after he was found guilty of terror funding. After that, Pakistan has also been wiped out. Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan and current PM Shahbaz Sharif have tweeted in support of Malik. After the sentencing of Yasin Malik, the holidays of all the armed forces deployed in Kashmir have been cancelled till further orders. The army has also been put on high alert.

On Wednesday, Yasin was brought to court from Tihar Jail amid tight security. Yasin Malik had admitted during the hearing that he was involved in terrorist activities in Kashmir. He is the head of the banned organisation Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). Delhi is also on high alert after the sentencing of Yasin Malik. Malik has been lodged in Barrack 7 of Tihar Jail. It will be closely monitored from CCTV. On Wednesday evening, Yasin Malik was brought to the courtroom from the jail. When the judge was late in arriving, he was given a chair to sit on. After some time, the judge came and sentenced him.  

Meanwhile, many people came out of the court with Tricolour. As soon as the sentence was announced, people gathered outside the Patiala House Court in Delhi and distributed sweets expressing their happiness. A violent clash between Malik's supporters and police has come to light near Yasin Malik's house in Maisuma near Srinagar. After the stone pelting, the situation here the security personnel had to fire tear gas shells.
