The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Punjab today and is addressing a rally at Jalandhar ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections that are scheduled to held on February 4.

The focus of BJP is to provide a free education till PhD level for all the girls and jobs for every family. It has also promised implementation of Goods and Services Tax in the state.

Narendra Modi, as per the reports  said “Punjab is the land of saints, land of the brave and the land of sacrifice,” 

“Punjab is more than just a state. There is not a single person in this country who has not fed himself/herself on the crops of Punjab,” he added.

While talking about the Congress party he said “In Uttar Pradesh constantly took digs at the Samajwadi Party. When the voters did not respond to their message they took advantage of fissures in the SP and joined hands with them.”

PM Modi also states that we will take back our share of the Indus water and will give it to Punjab.
