BENGALURU On Monday afternoon, a three-judge panel of the Karnataka High Court began hearings on the hijab row cases. The hijab crisis in the state continues, generating concerns about the law and order situation, even as the bench led by Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi hears the case on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, many students across the state have boycotted the state's important II PUC practical exams, which began on Monday, since they are not permitted to wear hijab in the classroom. However, the bulk of pupils, including Muslim students, removed their hijab and went to class.

The prohibitory orders surrounding 200 metres of schools, PU Colleges, Degree Colleges, or other educational institutions in Bengaluru have been extended until March 8 by Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant.

If II PUC students do not show up for practical tests, they will lose 30 points, resulting in a maximum score of 70 in theory exams. Students must obtain a minimum of 45 points in order to participate in the CET. The results of practical tests are critical for students' future success. Between April 16 and May 6, the main exams will be held.
