Shimla: The meeting of the Himachal cabinet has been held on Monday under the chairmanship of CM Jairam Thakur. In the meeting, the government gave a big shock to the public by increasing bus fares during the Corona period. Many other major decisions were also taken in the meeting. The cabinet also gave permission to replace 38 ambulances under National Ambulance Service-108. The industry department made a presentation giving all the details. To provide convenience to businessmen and improve the ease of doing industry in the state, more emphasis was laid on the development of an online system for 46 services.

The cabinet directed the department to proceed on all the points of reforms in a time-bound manner. The cabinet approved 34 EGS trainers fulfilling the eligibility conditions to make changes in rural education. The cabinet decided to open a new government primary school in Lower Taredi in Gram Panchayat Bakan in education block-1 in Bharmour assembly constituency of Chamba city. Along with this, it was decided to fill three posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) in the prosecution department on a contract basis.

The cabinet has decided to increase bus fares in the state. Currently, there will be an increase of 25 percent. For the first three-kilometre, the fare will be charged seven rupees instead of five. Department of Information and Technology will free the cabinet meeting from paperwork. Also, for the smooth functioning of the libraries of educational institutions, it has been decided to convert 771 vacant posts of Assistant Librarians in the Education Department into Junior Office Assistants (Libraries) of the Education Department. The cabinet has decided to take over Lala Jagat Narayan Himotkarsh Girls College Kotla Khurd.
