Himachal CM Settles Resolution of 45,000 Mutation Cases in Revenue Lok Adalats

SHIMLA: During a meeting with Administrative Secretaries, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu praised the revenue officers for speeding up long-pending mutation and partition cases through Revenue Lok Adalats, as per an official statement from the Himachal Pradesh government.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu commended the efforts of revenue officers in swiftly handling long-pending mutation and partition cases, highlighting the significant impact on the general public.

The government of Himachal Pradesh reported that a substantial number of individuals have benefitted from the resolution of these cases within the Revenue Lok Adalats. In a recent session held on December 1st and 2nd, 2023, more than 14,000 pending mutation cases were successfully settled, further emphasizing the priority of disposing of pending revenue cases to facilitate citizens.

CM Sukhu emphasized expediting flagship programs and developmental initiatives to maximize public benefits. He urged departments to explore avenues to reduce energy bills for schemes under the Jal Shakti Department, medical colleges, and hospitals. Additionally, plans were discussed to potentially increase the marriageable age of girls from 18 to 21 years, with a committee to be formed soon under the leadership of the Health Secretary.

Focusing on modernization, the Chief Minister proposed incorporating technology in governmental processes to ensure transparency. Plans were outlined for the digitization of all state employment exchanges and employer registration to facilitate the hiring of skilled manpower.

In efforts to improve law enforcement and prison systems, police reforms were announced to enhance working conditions for police personnel and benefit the public. Installation of high-end night vision cameras in jails was proposed.

The government aimed to establish a cutting-edge milk processing plant in Kangra district and directed for the expeditious formulation of a Detailed Project Report for Sukhashrya Sadan in Jwalamukhi, Kangra district.

Other initiatives included the opening of bank accounts for Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Aashrya Yojna at district Deputy Commissioner offices, the development of the first township post-independence in Jathiya Devi to ease congestion in Shimla, and the expediting of related projects within specified timelines.

CM Sukhu highlighted the readiness of 17 e-charging stations while pushing for the acceleration of work on additional charging stations and essential infrastructure. A subsidy of 50 percent was offered by the government for the purchase of e-taxis, resulting in 200 applications to the transport department.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister reviewed the recruitment processes for Van Mitras, police constables, and Para workers of the Jal Shakti department during the meeting attended by Principal Secretaries Revenue, Chief Minister's Office, Finance, and other administrative officials.
