All the private universities running in the state can get full details of the degrees on the website. Apart from this, the State Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission has started strictly following the issue of fake degrees. Along with this, letters have been issued to private university administrations asking them to give details of the degrees of all the pass out students. With this, Poonam, Secretary of the Commission, said that private educational institutions have been instructed to update the website.

After allegations of selling fake degrees at private universities in Shimla and Solan, the regulatory commission has asked private educational institutions to upload the complete information of fees, seats, courses and available teachers etc. on the official website. At the same time, information about teachers' studies, degrees and qualifications will also have to be given. Also, on what basis the fees will be charged, it can also be explained in detail. At the same time, no fees will be charged from the students other than the fees written in the website and the admission application form.

With this, no institute or college can keep the original certificate of the student. After admission, the original certificate will be mandatory to be returned after checking. Apart from this, the institute can keep the photocopy of original certificate. The commission's secretary said that private universities in Shimla and Solan have been asked to provide serial numbers of degrees awarded to pass out students. For your information, let us tell you that the Commission is also investigating the case at its level.
