Actor Himmanshoo Malhotra now will be seen in the comedy show Shankar Jai Kishan comes in the sab channel, earlier he was auditioned for the title role but unfortunately he didn't get select for the role. He was last seen in 'Ek Nayi Ummeed Roshni' over getting the role in the comedy show again the star said: "I even did a mock shoot for the role, but it wasn't meant to be."

And talking about his character, he adds, "I play Prem; the name itself is iconic enough for me to take up the role. He is filthy rich and has an innate sense of humour, which attracts Dimple (Kristina Mistry, one of the three heroines) towards him. This is the first time I'll be indulging in situational comedy. As an artist, it's important to explore new genres and break boundaries; that's why I have moved to a light-hearted role from the intense ones done previously."

Himmanshoo has featured in several shows, including 'Airlines', 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui' and 'Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage'. He was also seen shaking a leg with his wife Amruta Khanvilkar on the celebrity couple dance reality show, 'Nach Baliye 7', and participated in the seventh season of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' a year later.
