New Delhi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday welcomed the Muslim side's call to maintain peace and harmony in Ayodhya after the Supreme Court's decision on land ownership in the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land case in Ayodhya. Has announced that it will cancel all its proposed programs after the verdict.

According to India TV News.com, Muslim parties of ownership had earlier announced that they would postpone the construction of the mosque on the disputed land in Ayodhya to maintain peace and harmony in the event of a favourable decision. The Ayodhya police is also making concerted efforts despite the efforts of the two communities to not allow communal harmony to deteriorate after the Supreme Court's decision on a complex issue.

VHP UP spokesperson Sharad Sharma told PTI on Monday that, "All our proposed programs and various activities related to the Ayodhya verdict have been cancelled next month". While showing that, "Whether the verdict is in favour of Hindus or in favour of Muslims, the time has come for both communities to be the supreme example of harmony and brotherhood."
