Gujarati musician and former BJP MP Mahesh Kanodia has died on Sunday morning. Mahesh Kanodia was 83 years old and was ill for a long time. Many people including PM Narendra Modi have mourned the death of Mahesh. PM Modi has expressed grief by tweeting on his death.

PM Modi tweeted that "The death of Mahesh Kanodia ji is very sad. He was a versatile talented singer who got a lot of love from the people". Even as a politician, he remained dedicated to the empowerment of the poor and the backward. It was further written in the tweet that Hitu spoke to Kanodia ji and expressed his condolences to his family.

According to media reports, Mahesh ji had represented BJP several times in Patan constituency of Gujarat. Kanodia's special thing was that he could sing in the voice of 32 singers and women singers are also present in them. Many artists of Gujarati cinema have expressed grief over the death of Maheshji.
