Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the valedictory function of the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. The GIS 2025 was a two-day event that was graced by the presence of prominent union ministers, business leaders as well as investors from India and abroad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Bhopal earlier on 24th February.
Amit Shah congratulated the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav and his entire team for receiving investment proposals worth over Rs30.7 lakh crore for the state within two days. In his address, Shah said that the ‘foundation’ of the Narendra Modi government was laid a decade ago and ‘many new dimensions will be built on this foundation.’
He said, “This investment summit will play an important role in Modi ji’s resolve to create a developed India by 2047 and make the country the third largest economy in the world by 2027. And in the days to come, Madhya Pradesh will be the top achiever in industrial development.”
Further adding, “Any company deciding on the location of its expansion considers some requirements. First consideration is a stable government so that policies are constant and Madhya Pradesh, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has established a stable and strong government through which the gate of development will open.”
The GIS 2025 was attended by more than 200 Indian companies, 200 Global CEOs, over 20 founders of Unicorn companies and representatives of more than 50 countries from the world. Talking about the state further, the Home Minister said, “The state is strategically located, has a big army of skilled workers, a better infrastructure has since been constructed and the administration has provided a good ecosystem. No state has better market access than Madhya Pradesh and a demanded-oriented economy is also developing here. Investors will get transparent governance, sustainable policies and a hands-on administration. I want to tell people that at one point of time Madhya Pradesh was counted as ‘BIMARU’ in roads, power, irrigation and all the other sectors. After 20 years of BJP governance, the state today has a road network of 5 lakh km, six airports and 31 gigawatt capacity power production out of which 30% is clean energy.”
“The maximum mining resources in the country are found in Madhya Pradesh, including manganese, copper, rock phosphate, coal, limestone, and iron ore. In a way, this state has become the cotton capital of the country with 25% organic cotton being supplied from here. MP is also considered important in the field of food processing.”
The MOUs worth 30 lakh 77000 thousand crore rupees that have been signed will be implemented on the ground and will help Madhya Pradesh in the establishment of large as well as ancillary industries. The investment summit will not only lead to the economic growth of the state but also provide a significant boost for the overall development of the country.
Amit Shah expressed his confidence that the state will soon be the leading hub for major industries in the country.
