Jammu: Lauding Modi –led BJP Govt Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday claimed that terrorism was in its "last stage" in Kashmir and above 600 terrorists had been killed due to the government's crucial actions to revoke on the terrorism. His statements come ahead of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's anticipated visit to hilly Jammu and Kashmir next week on the anti-terrorism front.

"The decisive actions that the government has taken... 600 terrorists have been killed during the period, and this is much higher than the number of militants killed during the UPA-I and UPA-II (governments). Terrorism in the Valley is in its last stage," he asserted as quoted by ZEE news.

Responding to a question on whether the end of anti-terror operations be followed by talks with Pakistan and separatists, he noted that The Government of India will take a decision which will be in the favor of the country.

He also asserted that the neighboring country has suffered because of the decisive action by Indian Army and now the issue of cross-border terrorism will be tackled on the military and diplomatic fronts. Jitendra Singh stated countries that never heard India's point of view on Pakistan and cross-border terrorism in Kashmir, have started to hear, respond and support the nation.

On the ceasefire declared before Ramzan, he said that it was a conditional ceasefire and to that extent, the government stands justified.
