New Delhi: The Health Ministry has filed an affidavit in the apex court regarding the prevention of coronavirus. The Ministry has said in this affidavit that it is the doctor's own responsibility to protect against the coronavirus. The affidavit has been filed by the Health Ministry in response to a petition questioning the new guidelines issued by the Central Government to end the 14-day quarantine period for frontline health workers.

It is stated in the affidavit that it is the responsibility of the Hospital Infection Control Committee to take necessary steps regarding the infection of corona within the hospital. It is also the responsibility of the doctor to train himself in this regard and take necessary steps to avoid infection. In the petition filed by a doctor named Aarushi Jain in the apex court, there was a demand to make proper arrangements for the health workers to stay close to the hospital.

Subsequently, the petitioner filed an affidavit and questioned the guidelines of the Health Ministry on 15 May. The petitioner raised questions on the end of the 14-day mandatory quarantine period. After the court summoned the government to reply, the government has filed its reply. In the affidavit, it has been said on behalf of the Ministry of Health that if health workers follow all the necessary precaution, wear PPE kit then they will avoid any possible risk. The rest of the corona is spreading more rapidly, where the 14-day quarantine rule is still applicable.
