In fact, while speaking to the public, he announced to change the name of Hoshangabad. In this program, the Chief Minister said, 'The new name of Hoshangabad city will be Narmada Puram'. According to the information received, a proposal to change its name will now be sent to the central government. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also tweeted about this.


In this tweet, he wrote, ''On the auspicious occasion of Narmada Jayanti, CM Shivraj Chouhan has announced that from now, Hoshangabad will be known as 'Narmadapuram'". On the Narmada Jayanti, the Chief Minister also planted Rudraksha and Sal tree in the Shambhu stream of Amarkantak. In his tweet, Shivraj Singh Chouhan further said, 'Narmada Maiya is quenching the thirst, irrigating the fields and providing electricity, but what are we all doing? contaminating Narmada maiya. Today, let us all take a pledge that we will not allow sewage and water in Maiya. Government and society will work together for this.'

Along with this, warning the criminals there, he said, 'We are determined to wipe out them from the land of Madhya Pradesh by taking strict action against goons, miscreants, sand mafias. The Naradams who cast their indignities on daughters will not be spared at any cost. '
