New Delhi: Due to the new variant of the corona virus, Omicron, there may be a third wave of corona virus in India in February. This worrying thing has come to the fore in the latest research, which claims that Omicron may reach Peak in India in February 2022. It has also been said by quoting the study that instead of worrying about this, India needs to be careful.

Scientists doing research have also claimed that after February, the cases of Omicron will start decreasing in the next month, which will give relief. However, seeing the total cases of Omicron in India has reached 220. Manindra Aggarwal of IIT Kanpur and co-founder of Sutra model of tracking the pandemic trajectory M Vidyasagar of IIT Hyderabad told the media that new cases of corona every day in February could range from 1.5 to 1.8 lakhs. This can happen if protection against the new variant is maintained naturally or through vaccination.

Manindra Aggarwal said that the faster the new variant will spread, it will also be less at the same speed. The number of cases in South Africa has started to decline after peaking in three weeks. The average number of cases of corona infection in South Africa stood at a high of around 23,000 on 15 December. Now it has come down to 20,000. IIT professors say that in the case of Omicron, India needs to be careful, not worried. However, one thing about the new variant is still not known how deadly it is.
