Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who made his mark with his sharp bowling, is celebrating his 28th birthday today. He was born on this day on 6th December 1993 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Bumrah bowls at a speed of 140-145 kmph continuously. He also enjoys in-swinging yorker delivery. Whose bowling is also afraid of big batsmen.

Jasprit Bumrah came out through the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a boon for Team India in search of a death overs bowler. The Gujarat pacer mastered the art of bowling inch-perfect yorkers as a part of Mumbai Indians (MI) and has developed into a rare diamond for Team India in the limited-overs format. Bumrah had a tendency towards cricket since childhood. He started it from his home. He used to bowl on the wall all day. One day the mother got fed up and said that if you want to play, throw balls that don't make much noise. Jasprit then devised a rare method and started throwing the ball at the floor skirting (lower end connecting the floor) instead of the wall. This is where Jasprit learnt to put a yorker.

Jasprit made his debut ODI match against Australia in January 2016. He has so far taken 108 wickets in 67 ODIs with an economy of 4.49. His best performance during this period was 27/5. Talking about T20Is, Jasprit has taken 61 wickets in 51 matches.  Jasprit Bumrah has played 24 Tests for India so far. He has taken 101 wickets with 2.66 economies.
