In a recent development, a shipment of crucial medical supplies has reached Gaza, destined for both Israeli captives and Palestinians in need. This delivery is part of a deal facilitated by Qatar to address the escalating humanitarian crisis in the region.

Despite these efforts, reports from Doctors Without Borders highlight that Israeli forces conducted heavy bombings near Nasser hospital in Gaza's Khan Younis, providing no prior evacuation warning. The situation on the ground remains tense, with ongoing clashes and airstrikes.

Meanwhile, the United States has designated Yemen's Houthis as a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist" group. This decision follows the Houthis' attacks on shipping in the Red Sea in response to Israel's military actions in Gaza.

Israel's military continues to escalate its operations, with intensified drone strikes and ground incursions in the occupied West Bank. Tragically, at least 11 people have been reported killed, and numerous others wounded as a result of these actions.

Since October 7, Israeli attacks on Gaza have led to a devastating toll, with at least 24,448 people killed and 61,504 wounded. The revised death toll in Israel from the October 7 Hamas attack stands at 1,139.

On the reconstruction front, the head of the Palestine Investment Fund, Mohammed Mustafa, has stated that a staggering $15 billion will be required to rebuild homes in Gaza alone. According to international reports, around 350,000 housing units have been either completely or partially damaged since the commencement of Israel's bombardment on October 7.

Mustafa emphasized that this estimate doesn't cover the broader infrastructure damage, including hospitals and grids. The scale of destruction has resulted in nearly 25,000 casualties, and almost the entire population of Gaza, numbering 2.3 million residents, has been displaced since the initiation of Israel's war on the Palestinian territory.

The situation remains critical, and international efforts are crucial to address the immediate humanitarian needs and work towards a lasting resolution to the conflict.
