Hyderabad: All Major flyovers was closed for Jagne Ki Raat

All major flyovers in the city including the Necklace road were closed last night after 10 pm in the view of Shab-e-Meraj Jagne Ki raath, said the Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar. City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar issued traffic restrictions on Tuesday and requested people to take alternative routes to avoid getting caught in traffic congestions and gridlocks in view of Shab-E-Meraj (Jagne Ki Raath) in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.

However, the traffic flow was not interrupted on the three flyovers -- Greenlands, PVNR Expressway and Langar Houz. The police issued a circular in this regard appealing to the public to choose alternate routes avoiding the respective areas. The order stated that all flyovers in the city including Necklace Road will be closed after 10 pm except Greenland's Flyover, PVNR Expressway, and Langar Houz Flyovers to avoid any untoward incidents, road accidents and for the safety of commuters.

Jagne Ki Raat or Shab-e-Qadr is so significant for Muslims on which it is believed that their sins are forgiven by the almighty. During this night, it is believed that the mercy of Allah is abundant, sins are forgiven and one can connect with the Almighty. It is said that the night is so significant that praying during this time cannot be equaled even by praying for your entire life.
