Hyderabad: The health department has urged the IT industry to fearlessly reopen the companies as the COVID cases are under control in Telangana. There is no chance of a third wave at least in the next six months. Software workers are ready to work from offices if their workplaces reopen. They feel that it is not possible to work from home for a long time, it is difficult to complete the projects on time during work from home.

Health department officials have submitted a recommendation to the IT ministry suggesting the reopening of the IT corridor. The companies have not yet responded; Looks like they are in no mood to reopen this year. A software employee at Tolichowki said: As a manager working from home, it is very difficult to convince developers, due to which we are unable to hand over projects on time. In the office we can sit together and discuss the steps to work on a project and how to manage things. It's hard to discuss in WFH, it's affecting the output.

Director Public Health Dr Srinivasa Rao said: "IT employees and their family members have been 100 percent vaccinated. Companies can now invite their employees to campuses with appropriate COVID treatment." He said that schools in Telangana have reopened and are continuing with good vigor. Apart from a few, none of the teachers or students were tested positive; Most of the teachers have been vaccinated. After the same, the IT industry can also call its employees to the offices.
