Hyderabad, which is fast becoming the knowledge hub of the global life sciences market, has attracted yet another sizable investment.

With the goal of building the largest stem cell manufacturing facility in India, US-based StemCures plans to open a manufacturing lab in Telangana that will concentrate on stem cell therapy. The facility will be built with an estimated investment potential of USD 54 million and an estimated employment potential of 150 persons over a few phases.

The declaration was made during a meeting in Boston between state IT and industries minister K.T. Rama Rao and founder of StemCures, Dr. Sairam Atluri.

The key objective of the proposed plant is to capitalise on state of art technology and expertise from the United States to manufacture the highest quality and affordable stem cell products for treating various serious medical conditions, said a statement from the Minister's office in Hyderabad.

"Stem cell therapy is a potential new treatment for many illnesses, and I have faith that StemCures will offer patients in India top-notch care. I'm looking forward to working with the clinic to increase patient access to stem cell therapy in India, said KTR, as the minister is known to the public. "It gives me such hope to watch Hyderabad, my city, develop into a thriving centre for medical advancements. We had no trouble setting up an R&D facility, and we now look forward to growing alongside the manufacturing unit, said Atluri.

The stem cell line's R&D is currently coming to a close at Aspire Bionest in the University of Hyderabad, and StemCures is prepared to start up a phase 1 manufacturing lab.

More than a thousand life sciences businesses, including the top ten pharmaceutical firms, are already served by Hyderabad. Through their specialised centres, four of the top ten global innovation businesses now have a direct presence in Hyderabad. These centres power essential R&D, engineering, and digital activities, helping to deliver affordable, life-saving treatments and equipment to patients all around the world.

In Ohio, there is a medical facility called StemCures that specialised in stem cell therapy. Only the best stem cells are used in this FDA-approved clinic. In addition, the facility includes a group of skilled and qualified doctors who can assist patients in making educated decisions concerning stem cell therapy.

The use of the patient's own stem cells in stem cell therapy allows for minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment of a number of illnesses. Undifferentiated cells with the capacity to differentiate into any type of cell are known as stem cells. Stem cells can assist in tissue repair, the reduction of inflammation, and the promotion of healing when injected into an infected or wounded area.

Nikki Haley, a former UN ambassador and the governor of South Carolina, was also contacted by KTR. He gave Haley a thorough rundown on the strategic importance of Hyderabad and Telangana within the context of US-India ties.

The conversations included a wide range of topics, including the economy, elections, and an extensive interchange of political viewpoints. The former governor received Minister KTR's congratulations on her bid for the US presidency.
