Ranchi: The complaint made to the Governor against CM Hemant Soren in the stone quarry lease case in Angada, Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, has become the neck of the Jharkhand government. In this matter, the Election Commission (EC) has also favoured CM Hemant Soren by sending a notice to him. On the other hand, members of the ruling coalition of the state reached his residence for the second meeting on Friday late evening amid speculations about the political future of Chief Minister Soren.
Meanwhile, sources close to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), which is in power in the state, said that the meeting discussed a strategy to ensure that the state government does not face any kind of threat. Meanwhile, in a tweet, Chief Minister Soren targeted the central government and the BJP and said, 'I am the son of a tribal. Our path has never been stopped by their tricks, nor have we ever been afraid of these people. Our forefathers removed fear from our minds long ago. There is no place for fear and intimidation in the DNA of us tribals.
Some leaders of the Congress, a key ally in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led ruling coalition, said on condition of anonymity that as an option to avoid possible horse-trading attempts by the BJP, all the MLAs should be sent to West Bengal. The option of staying in a resort in a state like Bihar or Chhattisgarh is also being considered. These leaders said a decision on the future course of action would be taken only after Governor Ramesh Bais conveys to them his decision on the Election Commission's decision to disqualify Hemant Soren as an MLA. According to sources, the Election Commission (EC) is said to have asked the Governor to disqualify Soren for the post of MLA for violating electoral norms.
