Kochi: Malayali actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha member Suresh Gopi made a statement yesterday, which is currently in the news. Starting the Gau Sanrakshan Rath Yatra at Ernakulam in Kerala, Suresh Gopi said, "If anyone calls me Cow Dung, I am not ashamed but I am proud to hear this.''

Speaking at an event organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Suresh Gopi said that no one should forget that when Srinarayana Guru was born, he was also touched with cow dung. In such a situation, they are not at all sad that someone calls them cow dung. In fact, this statement by Suresh Gopi comes while answering a fan's question.
