Ranchi: Suman Kumar, CA of Jha Rakhand IAS Pooja Singhal, has been sent to 4-day Enforcement Directorate custody. The Enforcement Directorate had seized around Rs 19 crore in cash from his house. Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had also arrested IAS Pooja Singhal on Wednesday. The Enforcement Directorate has sent Pooja Singhal to five-day custody. Pooja Singhal is accused of money laundering. She is also accused of scams in MGNREGA, coal blocks, mines, and mineral departments. Pooja Singhal and Suman Kumar will be produced before the court on May 16.   

The Enforcement Directorate had arrested Pooja Singhal on Wednesday night. Then, they were sent to jail. It is being said that Pooja Singhal's health deteriorated here. After this, the doctors of the jail treated him. It is being said that his health is now stable. In fact, a few days ago, the Enforcement Directorate had conducted simultaneous raids at 25 locations linked to Pooja Singhal. Due to this, more than Rs 19 crore in cash was seized from the house of his CA Suman Kumar. Apart from this, several suspicious documents were also received from the house of Pooja Singhal and her husband Abhishek Jha's hospital.  

A 2000-batch officer of the same Indian Administrative Service (IAS) has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate under relevant sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). According to sources, Singhal was dilly-dallying in replying. They were then arrested. The ED produced Pooja Singhal before a local court for custody, following which the court ruled to send her to 5-day custody.
