Very impressive bowling performance by Rohan Mustafa's five-wicket haul and Chirag Suri's unbeaten innings 78 runs helped UAE overcome Netherlands by six wickets in a low-scoring game at the Harare Sports Club. The victory was UAE's second in three games, which strengthened their bid to qualify for the Super Sixes while the Dutch suffered their second successive loss. Earlier, won the toss and opting to bat, Netherlands got off to a good start as Wesley Barresi and Max O'Dowd put on a half-century stand. However, UAE came back well by striking regularly, which denied Netherlands a platform to build on. Reduced to 115 runs for 5 wickets when Ryan ten Doeschate dismissed for 34 runs, they lost their next five wickets for 61 runs to be bowled out for 176.

UAE in their batting innings, lost Mustafa early in the chase but they managed to get the chase on track through Suri and Ghulam Shabber, who added 57 for the second wicket. Netherlands sprung back into the contest with quick wickets that left UAE at 84 for 4. However, Suri ensured damage control with his watchful half-century and was aided by Muhammad Usman in an unbroken 93-run partnership that helped UAE reach the target in the 44th over.
