Bangalore: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Mangaluru Airport has recovered an IED from a bag. After which there was a stir. CISF DIG Anil Pandey has said, 'We have found evidence of improvised Explosive Device (IED) from the bag at the ticket counter at Mangaluru Airport. We have taken him out of the airport safely. '
DIG Anil Pandey said that according to the CCTV footage, a suspicious person had kept the bag at Mangaluru airport and was seen going into the auto, hiding his face. The suspect was traced on time and the local bomb disposal team is working on neutralizing the IED. Mangaluru Police has released the photo of the suspect and auto.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) deployed in the security of the airport has laid siege to the area. Mangaluru Police Commissioner PS Harsha also arrived at the airport along with the police team. The bomb disposal squad started a massive search operation with the help of search dogs and metal detectors. In a video message, Harsh said that the CISF had found a suspicious bag, handled the situation under security protocol and immediately informed the police control room.
