On Monday, billionaire Elon Musk signed a deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion. With which the company, which has been running public since 2013, has now become private. Speculations of the company's CEO Parag Agarwal's departure are also being speculated after twitter's sale. But there is no concrete information to hear about it so far. 

What will Parag Agarwal get if he bid farewell?: According to research firm Equilar, Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal is going to get around $42 million if he is fired from Twitter within 12 months of the company's sale. A Twitter representative declined to comment on Equilar's estimate.

Why is there a discussion of Parag Agarwal's departure?: The Twitter buyout has cast doubt on Agarwal's future, and it's still not clear if he's looking to stay at the top, with Musk now at the top of the stage. Musk has already said that he doesn't trust Twitter's management. The decision to sell the platform to tesla's CEO also indicates that the board is somehow not confident in the capabilities of Agarwal, who took over from Jack Dorsey in November 2021, as the company has not even been able to make enough profit.

He became twitter's CEO in November: Parag Agarwal was previously twitter's chief technology officer, he was made the CEO of Twitter in November last year. Twitter Proxy says that its total compensation for the year 2021 was $3.04 million, most of which was in the form of stock awards.
