Raipur: If a company is not providing salaries to its employees on time, then a heavy penalty can be imposed on it. The Labour Department has also fixed the data of employees in the company and the date of payment of salary for this purpose. According to the rules of the labour department, if there are more than one thousand employees in a company or institution, then there is a fixed day 10 of every month for salary. At the same time, if the figure of employees is less than one thousand, then that company will have to pay the salary by the 7th of every month.

Then, if there is a delay in salary and a complaint comes to the Department, strict action can be taken against that company. Chhattisgarh has reached the third position in India in making e-Shramik cards. As of February 17, a total of 73.06 lakh persons have been registered in the state. The state's target in making e-Shramik Cards is 82 lakh 42 thousand. In this way, the labour department has achieved more than 90 per cent of the target in the state so far. According to the information received from departmental officials, Chhattisgarh is currently in the third position across the country in making e-Shramik cards. Odisha and West Bengal are in the first and second positions.

According to the information received from the departmental officers, about 38 crores 37 lakh 44 thousand e-Shramik cards are to be made across the country. Savita Mishra, Additional Labour Commissioner, Labour Department, said that the e-Shramik card is to be made till March 31. The scheme of the Department is also being extended to the persons continuously.
