Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, if the government or private property is damaged in any agitation or demonstration now, it is not good for the agitators. Yes, and if the agitators somehow try to damage government or private property, the agitators will have to bear the huge damages. Yes, we are saying this because now, in Madhya Pradesh also, preparations are being made to make a law like Uttar Pradesh. According to it, if any public or private property is damaged during the protest, it is the protester who will have to compensate for it.

It is said that the organization by which the agitation will be carried out, and if there is any loss, the responsibility for compensation will also be the responsibility of the same organization. Let me tell you that the Government of Madhya Pradesh is preparing a proposal for the 'Prevention of Loss of Public and Private Property and Recovery of Damages Act, 2021.' If the proposal is accepted, a Tribunal will be constituted headed by a retired District Judge. At the district level, there will be a claim commissioner whose work will be entrusted to the Additional or Deputy Collector.

At the same time, the loss of government property will be complained by the office officer and the owner of the private property. Also tell you that after the complaint, the claim commissioner will go to the spot and report the photograph and damage to the tribunal. It is on this basis that the Tribunal will give its verdict. That is where the claim commissioner will follow it. At the same time, its decision to strengthen the tribunal can be chosen only in the High Court. If there is any reluctance to pay the recovery, the property of the person concerned may also be auctioned.
