Bangalore: The controversy over freedom fighter Veer Savarkar in South India is not taking the name of stopping. Meanwhile, soon after right-wing organisations decided to put up posters of Veer Savarkar across the state of Karnataka, Hindu Sena chief Pramod Muthalik warned that members of his organisation will chop off the hands of those trying to remove the poster of the great Hindutva ideologue.

Pramod Muthalik, chief of Rashtriya Hindu Sena, the parent organisation of Shri Ram Sene, has said, "If you touch the poster put up by us (Savarkar), we will chop off your hands and throw them away. That's a warning.'' He further said that they will ensure that Savarkar's contribution and glorious work are highlighted at every nook and corner. He further said "Savarkar was not a person who was against Muslims, but he was against the British. Even if a Muslim or Congress worker touches the picture or banner of Veer Savarkar that we have put up, we will chop off their hands. It's a warning. He dedicated 23 years of his life to fighting for the country.''

Rakesh Ramamurthy, head of Hindu Mahasabha Gauri Ganesh Seva Samiti, said, "As we have also included pictures of Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Veer Savarkar on Ganesh Chaturthi festival flex, though some miscreants are opposing it, we do not care. We have put up some posters and more posters will be put up now. Veer Savarkar was a great freedom fighter.''
