Lucknow: Permission has been given to attach the properties of Mafia Atiq Ahmed, who have earned revenue from a legitimate business. On the report of Dhumanganj police, the DM has ordered the attachment of illegal properties worth Rs 75 crore of Mafia Atiq Ahmed under the Gangster Act. The police have to take action by September 6 and submit the report to the DM.
Let us tell you that a few days ago, the Dhumanganj police had attached the property of the 'Mafia' worth Rs 24 crore. Dhoomanganj and Pooramufti police have been pressed into service to search for illegal properties of former MP and mafia Atiq Ahmed. After attachment of property worth 24 crores, police have identified 8 bighas of land in Kaushambi district in the name of Shaista, wife of Atiq. Apart from this, there is also a quarter of four bighas of land on the highway in the name of Shaista.
At the same time, two and a half bighas of property have been found in Rahimabad in the name of Atiq itself. Permission was sought from DM through SSP to attach these three properties. UP Police is attaching illegal properties of the mafia under Section 14-1 of the Gangster Act. Under this act, Atiq's property worth Rs 75 crore will be attached.
