New Delhi: Monsoon activities have started, but people are facing scorching heat in the country right now. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat including the capital Delhi are experiencing intense heat. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 43.8 degrees on Friday, its highest this year.

The Meteorological Department says that the heatwave will continue in Delhi and adjoining areas. The weather may change after May 25 and the temperature may decrease since pre-monsoon activities begin. At the same time, IMD has issued a warning for the next few days in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a heatwave can be seen in UP and Rajasthan till Monday. On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra's Vidarbha and Telangana are also likely to experience scorching heat.

The Meteorological Department also said that heatwave will continue in coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till Saturday. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for UP and Rajasthan. According to this, people in both states may have to face severe heat on Saturday and Sunday.
