New Delhi: A meeting of the leaders of the QUAD group is expected in Hiroshima, Japan this week, which will be attended by PM Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden, PM Fumio Kishida of Japan and PM Anthony Albanese of Australia. PM Modi is scheduled to leave for a six-day tour to Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia on Friday (May 19) to attend 3 major multilateral summits including the G-7 group and the QUAD. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has given information about this. 

In a press release, PM Modi has said, 'I will be leaving for Hiroshima and Japan to attend the Japan-led G7 Summit at the invitation of Japanese PM Fumio Kishida. It will be a pleasure to meet PM Kishida back after his recent visit to India for the India-Japan Summit. My presence at this G7 summit is particularly meaningful, as India holds the G20 presidency this year.'

In the press release, PM Modi has said, 'I look forward to exchanging views with the G7 countries and other invited countries on the challenges facing the world and the need to address them collectively. I will also hold bilateral meetings with some of the leaders attending the Hiroshima G7 summit.
