DHAR: Ahead of the Madhya Pradesh polls, Former chief minister of the state Kamal Nath announced that electricity bills up to 100 units would be waived if the party comes to power. Also power charges up to 200 units would be halved. Kamal Nath made this e announcement while addressing a public gathering in Badnawar in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district.
"100 units of electricity will be waived and the electricity bills up to 200 units will be CUT BY 50% the Congress government comes to power in Madhya Pradesh . We don't make bous promises. We promised to offer 100 units of electricity at Rs100 during the then Congress government which we fulfilled," Kamal Nath said.
He also spoke about the Nari Samman Yojana, a programme in which the party promised women in the state monthly aid of Rs. 1500 and discounted LPG cylinders. "Women can raise their children nicely if they receive Rs. 1500 per month and an LPG cylinder for Rs. 500. Young people should have access to employment options, he said.
Kamal Nath said, the Congress government created Pithampur Industrial Area in the hopes that no one in the Dhar district would be unemployed. He added that when the Congress administration returned, "hopes and expectations that were used to build the industrial area will be fulfilled again."
Kamal Nath also took a criticism at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan over his laying foundation stones and making announcements.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is not only Chief Minister but also has become the Bhoomi Poojan Minister. He used to be a speech and announcement machine, but now he now works as a lie detector. Nobody is unaware of the extent of the state's corruption, he said.
The head of the Madhya Pradesh Congress said that the state's Congress administration has waived off the loans of tens of thousands of farmers and helped 81,000 farmers in Dhar.Everyone is aware of how the BJP overthrew the government.
