The movement started in Pakistan for Imran's government is becoming increasingly painful. On Friday, students and activists across the country took to the streets to join the Student Solidarity March led by the Student Action Committee (SAC). The demands of the students include restructuring of unions, better and accessible education, reduction in fees, gender parity and freedom of expression on campuses.

According to the media report, these students gathered and organized rallies in fifty cities across the country in support of their demands in Pakistan. Progressive and left-leaning students also have the support of organizations of many sections of society including farmers, laborers. In a tweet, the march began in some cities on the appeal of the Progressive Student Collective (PSC) in the morning. PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also extended his support to the marchers. Marched for the abolition of privatization, implementation of sexual harassment law, hostel rights and demonetization of campuses. The program was led by Haider Kalim, a student of Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, and said that the students are mainly in support of 10 demands but local issues have also been included.

In its statement, the SAC said that Imran's party PTI has left students directionless and reduced the budget for higher education to half. With this, the country has joined the list of countries which spend very little on education. The SAC also includes student organizations from Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, POK and Punjab.
