Islamabad: Pakistan PM Imran Khan has once again made a statement in support of the terror group Taliban. Imran Khan has said that the Taliban will not talk to the government as long as Ashraf Ghani is in the presidency of Afghanistan. Talking to foreign journalists in Islamabad, the Pak PM said political compromise seems difficult in the current situation.

Imran Khan further said, 'I tried to persuade the Taliban three to four months ago when they came here. But the effort failed.' The Afghan Foreign Ministry responded to Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi's latest statements saying Pakistan should take action against the safe haven of terrorists on its soil. Land access to the Taliban and other terrorist organizations should be cut.

Qureshi had mentioned some unknown force to work against peace in Afghanistan and requested to keep an eye on the group. Qureshi had said that efforts were being made to hold Pakistan responsible for the situation in Afghanistan, but he believed that a group outside Afghanistan was spoiling the peace process.
