Lucknow: A shocking case of love jihad has come to light from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. A woman policeman posted at Shivkuti police station here has accused Imran Khan of marrying her by cheating her to convert to Buddhism. The woman says that Imran used to call himself a Buddhist till the marriage, but as soon as the marriage took place, the accused and his family started pressuring the woman to forcibly convert to Islam.

The victim has also filed a case against her father-in-law Multan, brother-in-law Mohsin Khan for unnatural rape. Mohsin Khan is a cricketer and has played for the Lucknow Sapur Giants (LSG) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023). At the same time, the accused Imran, along with the woman policeman, is working as a police constable in the same department. The victim is a resident of Varanasi. The victim has cried and pleaded for justice from CM Yogi Adityanath. Talking to the media, the woman policeman has said, 'Imran Khan has been pressuring her to become a Muslim since marriage. She also forcibly named the victim Zaira Banu and said that unless you get married, our marriage will not be considered valid."

"Not only this, Imran is already married and his first wife lives with him, but the accused had sent me an affidavit saying that I was divorced from him. I have given all the evidence related to this case to the investigator. Even after this, no one in the police station is ready to listen to me. I have no way left. I was going to commit suicide on the railway track, but my friend saved me." According to reports, on the complaint of the victim, a case was registered against the accused Imran on February 23, 2023. However, the victim alleges that there is collusion between the investigator and the accused, due to which SC/ST sections have not been invoked against Imran Khan. Apart from this, the names of the accused's brother Mohsin (IPL cricketer) and Abba Multan have also been removed by the investigator.

The victim says that in 2016, she went to Moradabad for training, where she met police constable Imran Khan, posted at the police line. Gradually, the closeness between the two began to grow. After this, in 2018, Imran Khan converted to Buddhism and married the victim in Varanasi. But after a few days of marriage, Imran started pressuring her to change her religion to become a Muslim. He said that if she wants to live with him, she has to become a Muslim.

"Imran had converted to Buddhism just to trap me and the entire family of the accused is involved in this conspiracy. Even after converting to Buddhism, he continues to go to every mosque to offer namaz. He also took me to mosques in Ajmer and Barabanki. In 2019, I went to Imran's house for an event where his brother Mohsin raped me at night. The victim also has a three-year-old child. Imran also tried to circumcise the child, but when she came to know about it, she opposed it. The woman has appealed to CM Yogi Adityanath to take strict action against Imran Khan and his family."

In this case, ACP Shivkuti Rajesh Yadav says that this case is a mutual dispute between husband and wife. Imran Khan is already married. He married his first wife according to Islamic customs, due to which there are many technical flaws in this case. Any action can be taken in this matter only after the investigation is completed. DCP Deepak Bhukar has also taken cognizance of the matter. He has asked the woman to present her case. It has also said that the investigators of the case will now include the evidence given by the victim in their investigation.
